We got to the egg collection and it was very traumatic
I had developed ohss, not as bad as i usually get but still bad as i was having the egg collection and anistetic etc as well so everything combined has made me very ill. My ovaries became very enlarged so this made the collection very tricky and sorer than it would have been normally, they also had a hard time getting the eggs out as there was so many follicles in the way and they couldnt see very good etc, just my luck lol
After collection I was sick 3 times in front of the nurses, how embarressing so i got given anti sickness and they were talking about keeping me in but thankfully got out around 12.30. I found it more painful than my laparoscopy and d&c but i think its because of my enlarged ovaries etc. I have been resting since Thurs but its really hard moving around or getting comfortable becuase my abdominal area is very tender and brick hard although each day its reducing so hopefully few more days should be fine
10 eggs were collected
5 eggs were just that wee bit too small so couldnt be used
1 egg was abnormal as it alowed 2 sperm in
4 eggs fertalised but 1 died off then the other wasnt good enough to freeze so I have 2 high quality snow babies frozen for when im better
If they had done the transfer they would only have done the single tranfer and i would have lost the other good embryo so that would have reduced my chances. Bit down becuase he said if i had been fine and 2 had tranferred then my pregnancy chances were high but they couldnt go ahead because pregnancy triggers ohss even more and i could have been really ill so probarly better to wait untill im better and try and diet whilst i wait lol
