I came back to work when Georgie was 6 months old.

At that time DH was working full time but his hours meant that he finished by 1pm so Georgie just went to nursery in the mornings.

When Georgie was about 16 months old DH stopped work and became a full time dad for 6 months.

Then he started work p/t so Georgie has been going to nursery 3 afternoons a week for about a year...

In January she will be entitled to the free goverment hours at nursery so will go up to 5 afternoon's a week at nursery!

I'm glad I continued to work.... it is really tough at times but thank goodness I have very flexible and understanding employers and Georgie LOVES nursery!

I sort of am. I work from home as a childminder and have my kids with me.

It wasn't always like this though, I worked in a 'proper job' until Grainne was born. I went back to work when Dara was 8 months old and she was with a childminder four full days a week - very hard but I have no regrets about it. Having two children made the childcare costs impossible for us, I love kids and so decided to become a childminder. It works well for all of us.
